Robert, grew up in Wolsey, SD and after high school joined the military. Through this he learned many things about life and travel; capturing a new appreciation for cultures. After discharge, Robert focused on RV and generator repair. It wasn’t until moving to Huron, SD that he found his passion for being a Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scouts of America troop.
Matt, born in Virginia and raised in South Dakota, shared some of the travel aspects most military kids do but all before he was 2. Once in South Dakota, Matt enjoyed playing football, hunting, fishing and being part of the BSA. This is where he earned the honor of Eagle Scout. Whether repairing generators, setting the hook on some 5-pound SD Nation Grassland bass, or hiking one of Mount Rushmore’s many trails, Robert and Matt bonded over the outdoors. That is what drives Bakabes, the desire to create and enhance the little things. The things that we look back at and force a smile.
